Overview

The Anguilla National Youth Council (ANYC) is a registered non-government umbrella organisation for youth and youth organisations in Anguilla. The ANYC serves to protect the interests of all youth, youth groups, and affiliated organisations in Anguilla, and to advance and promote the general welfare, development and social progress of not only the youth, but also the people of Anguilla.

Vision: Anguilla’s young people are focused, dynamic, and empowered such that they are valued as significant leaders in the sustainable development of the island.

Mission: We are an autonomous, non-partisan organisation that seeks to be the voice of Anguilla’s youth, promoting youth empowerment through advocacy, capacity building and strategic partnerships. 
Programme Details

Main Strategies

  1. Capacity Building and Education
    • Professional Development training for individuals and organisations
    • Mentorship programmes
    • Technical Assistance
  2. Advocacy
    • Participation in local, regional and international youth conferences and youth-driven programmes
    • Participation in Governance and Policymaking
  3. Strategic partnerships with government, non-government and non-profits
  4. Financial Assistance

Eligibility

    1. Belonger/Resident of Anguilla
    2. Demonstrate respect for staff and other attendees
    3. A member of a youth organization and a history of active youth involvement
    4. Have a good academic and/or professional record
    5. Demonstrate a willingness to serve other youth with a commitment of at least two years
    6. Be motivated and flexible to attend a range of activities locally, regionally and internationally
    7. Possess the ability to work independently or as a team

Duration/Timeframe

The terms of the Executive Board of the ANYC are 2 years.
