Anguilla Service Corps

Sustainable Livelihoods

Programmes

Overview

The Anguilla Service Corps is geared at promoting volunteerism and mentorship while reinforcing an appreciation of community and social responsibility among nationals.

This initiative is developed based on best practice models and international standards regarding Volunteering/Mentoring and currently has two distinct components. They are the Youth Exposure (Youth Volunteers) programme and the recruitment, training and placement of Teacher Assistants.

These programmes target young people who have successfully completed secondary or tertiary education and have been experiencing difficulties in securing employment due to the lack of prior experience in the workforce.

The overall goal of the Anguilla Service Corps is to encourage, develop and support the philanthropist culture of Anguilla while strengthening the working relationships and social responsibility with the Private Sector and Government.
