Programmes

Overview

The Anguilla Youth Parliament (AYP) is a platform for young people to articulate specific youth-related issues and concerns and share their perspectives on matters of national importance. The AYP accentuates the role of young people as agents of change.

The Youth Parliament provides the opportunity and framework to enhance young people’s contribution to the development of public policy and legislation. The Youth Parliament also provides an avenue for young people to develop leadership skills, cultivate a healthy interest and active participation in political processes, and are useful mechanisms to support the reformation and reinvigoration of governance and political processes within communities and the national sphere.
