Leh We Roam: Creatives Rising

An art walk can educate, facilitate new connections, and foster new relationships and opportunities. For the Creatives themselves, Leh We Roam is not just about showcasing recent work, but about building community and mutual artist support.

Leh We Roam is the newest creative event in Anguilla showcasing local Creatives of numerous art forms during Malliouhana Fest.  The vision behind this art walk is multifold; it is a way of providing our Creatives with an avenue to showcase their talents, works, and/or creations while promoting their businesses to Anguillians, residents, and visitors.

It may be said that music and fine arts are the artistic expressions most recognised on Anguilla; this event allows persons to see through a visual representation, that art is a broad term and an ever-growing industry, and new forms and variations of art are constantly developing.  This event is one way we intend to develop Anguilla’s Orange Economy (Creative Economy).

Tranquil: Jazz on The Lawn

Tranquil: Jazz on the Lawn is a musical event, featuring local acts, the intent of the event is to offer an evening of soothing jazz and contemporary music showcasing our local musicians.  Patrons are invited to walk with blankets/cushions to “chill on the lawn” while rocking to the pulsating sounds of our very own home-grown talent.

Tranquil was born from the need to support our local artists in the contemporary field who are often overlooked in the Anguillian cultural scene. Jazz and contemporary music, like culture, is an ever-growing aspect described by vibraphonist Victor Mendoza as “music performed and created with what is rhythmically, harmonically, and texturally current… performed on acoustic, ethnic, and electronic instruments.”
