Overview

Now part of the annual Anguilla Day Celebration activities, the Malliouhana Poetry Competition is organised by the University of the West Indies Open Campus Anguilla, in collaboration with the Anguilla Library Service, and the Department of Youth and Culture.


Programme Details

Main Strategies

    1. Performance Poetry – poets will be required to perform their submission for judging in front of a live audience at the award ceremony.

 

  1. Poetry on the Page – winning poets will be invited to read their submissions
    at the award ceremony.

Eligibility

  • Juniors (ages 8-12)
  • Teens (ages 13-17)
  • Adults (age 18+)

March-May
